This is from my most recent body of work, an in-depth visual study of the outer-lying feminist asteroids, presented online as astro-memes, physically as astro-feminist “pillow pictures” and performative, socially-engaged pop-up astro-oracles. Matrifocal wisdom highlights the influence of queer asteroids that indicate a 'quantum leap' for human consciousness, correcting the western, patriarchal monopoly on destiny and what’s possible. This piece is a pillow picture inspired by asteroid Haumea, named for the Hawaiian Goddess of Fertility, Nature Consciousness, trial-by-fire, creativity, transformation & seasonal tidal rhythms. An ode to sex magic, it reminds us of the healing and generative power of female eros.
